The initial authenticity check is one of the most important security measures. This process confirms that your device is genuine and hasn’t been tampered with before reaching you. Firmware installed through official software comes with cryptographic signatures, ensuring it hasn’t been modified. Never attempt to install firmware from unofficial sources.
Once you initiate setup, your device will guide you through generating your recovery seed. This backup phrase is the single most important component of your wallet. It grants full access to your cryptocurrency, so protecting it is essential. Write each word exactly as displayed on your device’s screen and keep this information strictly offline.
